15 days

Still not able to post pictures, but as soon as the first mission team comes we're hoping to remedy that! We've been here 15 days and the day to day life is starting to feel more like normal. Tomorrow Nathan will speak at a leadership training for men in the church and I will go to a women's Bible study and share also. This week we plan to celebrate our 3 year anniversary as well! Next week will be quite busy with people coming and going, so we're going to take a couple days and celebrate early! Should be an exciting Nepali style celebration! As soon as we can post some pictures I'll share more stories. It will be more exciting that way! So stay tuned!!

In Nepal!

We made it safely to Nepal, and have been safely here for 9 days! The hospitality is great, the children are endearing, and the relationships are starting to go deeper into more and more gospel truths. Moriah has 2 new teeth popping up, and with it, some pain and infrequent fevers/colds. We're realizing more and more that even though the roads are different, the food is different, the language is different, the human heart is the same, and the needs and desires are the same as well. Please pray for understanding as we talk through the gospel and what the implications are for believers every day, and also that a life-giving, Spirit-filled relationship would blossom out of that. I tried to upload photos, but the computer here at the Internet cafe doesn't recognize the hardware :(. We'll try again soon! Love to all, and we're praying for you guys too!

Please Pray For Us!

So we're leaving tomorrow...yeah, hard to believe it's really happening. After years (more than 6) of praying and planning and hoping, we fly to Nepal tomorrow. I wanted to list some prayer requests today before I start the mad rush of the day. Your prayers are deeply needed for this trip and for our lives. So here's a few:

-Unity in our marriage
-Vitality in our personal relationships with Christ
-The couples that we will be working with in marriage counseling
-Relationships with the young adults in the church and children's home
-Health and safety
-Leadership development with the men in the church that Nathan will be working with
-Moriah would adjust to time difference quickly
-Connections/friendships with men and women there - that we wouldn't experience loneliness
-We'd be aware of and adjust to necessary cultural differences
